What does the Mak Academy logo represent? It represents our brand and our promise to our stakeholders. It reflects our identity and aspirations.
Our identity is shaped by our history, the work we do, and our educational philosophy. Firstly, reflecting our family history, Mak (麥) stands for wheat, a cereal that is the most important kind grown in temperate countries, the grain that is grounded to make flour for bread, pasta, pastry, and others. Wheat nourishes us and helps us to grow strong and healthy.
Secondly, as an educational institution, books are essential in education, enabling both students and teachers to receive and give instruction. Through wholesome education, children, adults, and veterans can cultivate, generate, and enjoy merit respectively.
Thirdly, our educational philosophy is to remain relevant to changing times, and to cultivate values of filial piety, wisdom, and compassion for the development of society. Our aspirations are reflected in our colour themes and shield. Cool colours, such as turquoise blue and verdant green, are seen in nature. Like spring growth, they make us feel renewed. Completion of development of ancestral home and business centre at the heart of Malacca City. Hardware distribution business was named “Chop Kwong Leong Hoe”, led by Mak Koon Yong, member of second generation of Mak family.

Ancestral home and business centre became a heritage building within Melaka, a historic city of the Straits of Malacca and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ancestral home and business centre was acquired by Mak Hing Kwai, fourth son of Mak Koon Yong.

Mak Academy was officially established as a business training and consultancy institution by Mak Kum Shi, son of Mak Hing Kwai.
